Q. What are the benefits of using an outside medical transcriptionists as opposed to hiring our own transcriptionists?

A.  There are many!  No employee taxes.  No employee benefits to pay.  No down time.  Pay only for production.  No vacation or sick leave to worry about.  No hiring and training new employees.  No extra equipment to buy.  Files are kept in a secure permanent database and are  HIPAA Compliant.  Patient records are available anytime and anyplace.  The list goes on.

Q. How do you charge?

A. Our medical transcription rate is based on line count. Our line charge is calculated per characters (with spaces), not as a visible line. Consequently, fonts, font sizing, spacing choices and the number of pages do not matter.

Q. How much does your service cost?

A. Our rate is currently *6 cents per line for standard digital dictation, and we haven't increased our rates in over nine years.  Line count is measured as characters (with spaces).  This includes most common formatting styles at no extra charge. 
   *Complex formatting and dictation may be extra. There are no set up fees, no minimum, no extra fees of any kind.

Q.  How do you bill for your services? 

A.  Invoices are sent by Email and include a detailed log count for each dictation transcribed the previous month. Payment is accepted by check  and is due by the 15th of each month.


Q. What about quality?

A. To insure constant quality an experienced transcriptionists is assigned to work with each doctor and becomes their personal transcriptionists. Once completed, all work is double checked for spelling and formatting to minimize possible errors and to insure top quality.  We've been in business for over seven years and our reputation speaks for itself.   Most of the clients who started with us are still with us.

Q. How is work sent to you?

A. You can send us files via a digital recorder over the internet by going to our secure website and using our simple drag-and -drop upload interface, or you can send it using encrypted secure email & FTP.

Q. How do I pickup my completed work?

A. Files are kept in a secure, permanent, HIPAA compliant database and are accessible to you anytime and anyplace via the Internet.  You simply login to your secure records page to access patient medical records.  You can view, edit and print anytime.

Q. What is your turnaround time?

A. Our guaranteed turnaround time (TAT) is 8 to 48 hours.

Q. Can you store all our records including our old records?

A.  Yes!  Eye Technologies can provide a comprehensive range of cost-effective services for converting hard copies and processing your data. We can assist you in the ongoing capture, conversion, storage, retrieval and distribution of your important information.
